Notes (bullet points) from Sunday School Class 1/22/12

Bearing witness and bearing false witness: bearing witness implies actions resulting from what you are witnessing.

What is the difference between sciences such as music and mathematics and physical sciences such as biology, medicine, physiology, etc. The answer is in the starting point: matter or idea. In math there is no need for matter. In physical science the starting point is always the reality of matter and in fact life in matter. An error in the premise leads to an error in the conclusion. If you start by bearing witness to matter you are starting from a falsehood, a lie. The ethics of healing do not permit that.

Science Theology and Medicine are the leaven in the three measures of meal and they much bear witness to Spirit, Truth, Love, Principle

Jesus bade his disciples beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees, which he defined as human doctrines. His parable of the "leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened," impels the inference that the spiritual leaven signifies the Science of Christ and its spiritual interpretation, — an inference far above the merely ecclesiastical and formal applications of the illustration.
Did not this parable point a moral with a prophecy, foretelling the second appearing in the flesh of the Christ, Truth, hidden in sacred secrecy from the visible world?
Ages pass, but this leaven of Truth is ever at work. It must destroy the entire mass of error, and so be eternally glorified in man's spiritual freedom. In their spiritual significance, Science, Theology, and Medicine are means of divine thought, which include spiritual laws emanating from the invisible and infinite power and grace. S&H 117:29-16

The wise builders will build on the stone at the head of the corner; and so Christian Science, the little leaven hid in three measures of meal, — ethics, medicine, and religion, — is rapidly fermenting, and enlightening the world with the glory of untrammelled truth. '02 2:14-18

From the infinite elements of the one Mind emanate all form, color, quality, and quantity, and these are mental, both primarily and secondarily. S&H 512:21-24

You do not have two bodies one material and the other spiritual. You have one body and two views. Your material view must change to a spiritual view.

FOUR CHEMICAL ACTIONS OF YEAST VS CHEMICALIZATION IN TEXTBOOK:

1. AGGRAVATION (you will resist spiritual answers at first.)
2. FERMENTATION
3. ASSIMILATION
4. TRANSFORMATION

Compare this to last week with the four steps in the raising of Lazarus (gratitude, affirmation, expectation and liberation) and the vision of Ezekiel (ankles, knees, loins and waters to swim in)

5 pillars of ethics: (differs from MORALS which are subject to societal changes)

1. Honesty
2. Love
3. Respect
4. Responsibility
5. Fairness

Story of Jesus and the adulterous woman: What did he write in the sand? He must have written her sin since it could be wiped away as it was never really part of her identity. He could only witness her real spiritual identity.
